I make drawings and oil paintings often in the form of portraiture. My work is driven by an infatuation with the profound and unfettered resilience of the human species. The way people work.

My work is re-presentational, but not limited to mere imitation. They are a composite of a series of observed experiences that form together to create a story with a human at the center.

In creating these portraits I aim to speak to notions of life and death, horror and beauty, triumph and defeat, love and resentment, suffering and bliss.
